Behaviour Presentation from Workshop

Behaviour
Systems
Parents’ workshop
Our Policy
• Based on positive praise
• Praise for effort – no-one gets things
right all of the time and mistakes are
how we learn.
The Freehold Five
• We have identified 5 characteristics which are
essential for children to develop in order to function
socially, orally, spiritually and culturally as a citizen
within our society. These characteristics will be
displayed in every classroom and the shared areas
under the banner “The Freehold Five”.
• Honesty
• Integrity
• Respect (for others/ property/ self)
• Empathy
• Resilience (effort)
Systems
All children begin the day on a green card
If a child has had a warning about their behaviour and
they choose to continue to misbehave they get a yellow
card. This is logged on our system.
If a child has received a yellow card and they choose to
continue to act inappropriately they receive a red card.
You will receive a text if your child has a red card.
Let’s create an amazing
classroom community
We’ll build a positive culture
by encouraging skills like
“Helping others” and
“Perseverance”.
We want all parents engaged
in our classroom, seeing what
we’re learning every day!
Positive Reinforcement
• To support the positive and
transparent nature of our policy, Class
Dojo will be used across Years 1 to 6.
• EYFS will use a system linked to the
story Zog and designed to support
children’s developing social and
emotional needs.
Class Dojo
• Children collect dojo points for positive
attitude and behaviour for learning.
• They can choose to “cash in” their
dojo points on a half-termly basis for a
prize…OR choose to bank them for a
bigger prize later in the year
