Please reserve your chicks as early as possible due to high demand.
You will be notified when your order arrives. Chicks must be picked up
the week they arrive.
Chicks, Turkeys, Guineas, and Game Birds must be kept at a temperature of 93 degrees the
first week. A 250W heat lamp bulb will supply the required heat. Do not use ordinary light
bulbs for brooding as they do not supply the amount the heat required for baby poultry. The
temperature should be lowered each week by 5 degrees until week 6, they can be left at
room temperature. Chicks require a period of darkness, and will be stressed and susceptible
to disease if not given a dark period.
Broilers and meat birds have high nutrition requirements and should be kept on Chick StartN-Grow or Meat Bird Maker for the entire growing period. Give vitamins and electrolytes for
three days every other week. This will help prevent leg weakness and maintain overall health.
Ducklings require UNMEDICATED feed. Keep fresh feed and water available at all times.
Litter should be maintained 3 to 4 inches deep and kept dry.
Our chicks arrive day old from reputable and certified hatcheries.
They are healthy and easy to raise. Since we cannot control the
environment that chicks are exposed to when they leave our store,
we cannot be responsible for any fatality once they leave our
premises. We do not issue refunds for any such loss.
