Eligibility criteria a. Abstract should be based on original research, and should not have been presented at any national or international scientific conference. b. At least one of the authors of the poster must register for the Research Day as participant c. Participants may submit more than one abstract d. Abstract must be submitted in English. e. Studies conducted in MOH facilities must submit NMRR ID with their abstract f. Only studies involving human subjects will be considered. This includes clinical studies (observational or international), cross sectional surveys. g. The committee will review and reserve the right to decide on the acceptance of abstracts for poster presentation or oral presentation 2. Submission Guidelines a. All abstract must be submitted to CRC via email [email protected] in soft copy form (no handwritten or hard copy abstract will be accepted) b. Abstracts must be submitted by 15th May 2017. Late submission or incomplete abstracts will not be accepted. c. The secretariat will notify participants regarding the results of their submission by 25th May 2017 3. Abstract format a. The structured abstract should not exceed 250 word limits and include the following sections: Introduction, Methodology, Results, and Discussion/Conclusion b. Authors’ name must be written in full. Do not include professional titles or degrees. List any institutional affiliation, state and country. Please make sure all authors contributed significantly to the research project. c. Abstract title must be in Title Case. Title should be brief and clearly indicate the content of the abstract. d. Do not include graphs, tables or illustrations in the abstract. e. Abbreviation must be defined by placing it in parenthesis after the full word, the first time it appears. f. Use numerals to represent numbers except when beginning a sentence. 4. Prizes 3 best abstracts will be shortlisted to be presented as oral presentation at the conference a. Best Oral Presentation Awards The first prize winner will be awarded RM 1000, followed by RM 700 for second place and RM 500 for third place. Each winner will also receive a certificate of achievement. b. Best Poster Awards The first prize winner will be awarded RM 500, followed by RM 300 for second place and RM 100 for third place Each winner will also receive a certificate of achievement. Judges’ decisions are final. No correspondence would be entertained. 5. Poster Display and Presentation a. Poster must be in the following format: vertical Ao size (90cm width x 119cm height b. Participants are responsible for printing of posters and for the materials to put up the posters on the designated panel at the exhibition area (removable double-sided tape). c. Posters are to be put up at the designated poster panels near the auditorium hall starting at 8 am on 24th July 2017. d. Posters must be displayed for a stipulated period and dismounted by 5 pm on 24th July 2017. e. The organizer will not be responsible for posters which have not been dismounted by 5 pm.
