Application example – corridor or staircase Fully loaded with shopping in a dark stairwell? Looking for the light switch while carrying a washing basket down to the cellar? © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 6 Application example – corridor or staircase The movement detector Basic 120° switches the light on in the typical areas it is needed, when it is needed. It is practical for the user and guarantees a good level of security at all times. © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 7 Application example – bathroom Need to go to the bathroom in the dark at night? © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 8 Application example – bathroom Thanks to the movement detector, the light in the corridor and the bathroom switches on automatically, then goes off again after a pre-determined time. You can find your way there and back comfortably and safely. © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 9 Application example – living room Is not it nice when convenience and energy saving go hand-in-hand? © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 10 Application example – living room The precise presence detection leaves the light on as long as the room is in use. Want to get a bit cosier in front of the TV? The automatic movement and presence detection can simply be switched off using the integrated push-button. © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 11 Application examples Offices and schools Efficient energy use is a quick, cost-effective and environmentally friendly way of reducing energy consumption and greenhouse emissions. Application example – foyers and washrooms You want to keep a close eye on your energy costs? © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 13 Application example – foyers and washrooms The movement detector Basic 120° switches the light in the foyer or the washrooms whenever it's needed. For employees and visitors, this offers safety and convenience. For the company, it offers a welcome contribution to energy savings. © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 14 Application example – corridors in public buildings Long halls such as those in schools are an ideal location to use the presence detector. Advanced 180° © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 15 Application example – corridors in public buildings The higher mounting position allows for an extended area of detection, while at the same time affording greater damage protection. Multiple units can be linked together in master-slave mode to further increase energy efficiency and guarantee complete monitor coverage. © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 16 Application example – open-plan offices In offices of all sizes, energy efficiency is at the top of the agenda. © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 17 Application example – open-plan offices The presence detector Advanced 180°, provides a lighting control system which is also suitable for open spatial structures. Thanks to the raised mounting location, even areas behind furniture are covered. Coupling multiple presence detectors allows customised application scenarios and guarantees full monitoring coverage. © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 18 Application example – conference rooms Lights on when everyone is in the meeting! © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 19 Application example – conference rooms The presence detector Medium 180° switches on reliably as soon as the room is in use. If all attention should be on the video projector presentation, the lighting can simply be switched off with the integrated push-button. This way, convenience and saving energy go hand in hand. © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 20 Convincing details • High-resolution lenses The detection capabilities of movement and presence detectors are a clear sign of their quality. The high-resolution lenses used here deliver optimum results and don't miss a single movement. • Resistant to faults Detection precision and fault resistance are carefully coordinated with each other.Due to this, the movement and presence detectors have proven to be insensitive to white light and electrical noise. © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 21 Convincing details Movement detector Basic 120° • For installation on 1,00 - 1,50 m height • Lux & time adjustment • Horizontal angle of detection of 120° • Detects movement within an area of 120m² Presence detection 30 m² Movement detection 120 m² © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 22 Convincing details Medium 180° Presence detector • 180° coverage angle • For installation on 1,00 -1,50 m height • Integrated switch for switching lights ON and OFF in different functional modes © Schneider Electric Presence detection 128 m² Movement detection 200 m² 31.07.2017 23 Convincing details Advanced 180° Presence detector • 180° coverage angle • For installation on 1,80 – 3,50 m height Presence detection 98 m² Movement detection 200 m² © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 24 Convincing details • Flexible configuration • The brightness threshold and the timings can be adjusted according to the situation. The time setting is infinitely variable in a range of 1 second to 20 minutes. The sensitivity of the detection can also be adjusted. • On the Advanced and Medium models, the area of detection is divided into a number of segments so that it can be switched in 3 respectively 7 different combinations. This precise setting allows you to completely eliminate any possibility of faults. © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 25 Convincing details • Automatic and master-slave mode • The modes of the Medium and Advanced movement presence detectors can be conveniently configured on-site to suit individual requirements. • Automatic mode (A). The lighting is switched on as soon as a movement is detected and the amount of light has fallen below a pre-determined threshold. • Manual mode (semi-automatic) (M). The detector is activated using an external push-button or the integrated push-button. • Slave mode (S). In order to provide complete coverage of larger areas, multiple movement detectors can be linked to each other. One device (master) is used as the controller, the other devices (slaves) deliver switch impulses to the master. © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 26 Convincing details 14 mm • Simple Installation • With a mounting depth of only 14 mm, installation is simpler than ever before. There is enough space in the mounting box for a clean cable line. © Schneider Electric 31.07.2017 27 Convincing details • Simple Installation • The screwless cable clamps make the electrician’s job easier.
