Reconsideration and/ or Return of Examination Scripts The Reconsideration and Return of Script processes can only be requested for final written examinations sat during the official exam period to which the enclosed results relate. Do not delay your enrolment while awaiting the result of a reconsideration. If a change of grade from a fail to a pass is awarded, the reconsideration fee will be refunded and you may need to amend your enrolment. Do not apply if: There was no final exam. Applications must be received within four weeks of the mailing of your official results of examinations. Your reconsideration outcome will be sent to you in approximately six weeks from receipt of application. Any scripts you have requested will be returned by late August. Fees: Reconsideration $36 per paper. This fee will be refunded if a change of grade from a fail to a pass is awarded. Return of Script $6.75 per paper. This fee is non-refundable. Reconsideration Regulations Reconsideration shall cover a careful remarking of the final exam script together with consideration of the work completed during the year. Carry Forward of Course Work (CFCW) to: CFCW, Examinations, NSATS, Massey University, Private Bag 11 222, Palmerston North. Applications must be received by: 20 January if the CFCW is to be sat as a Double Semester or Semester One paper. 20 June if CFCW is to be sat as a Semester Two paper. 1 November if the CFCW is to be sat as a Summer School paper, when the paper was initially sat in Semester One. 20 December if the CFCW is to be sat as a Summer School paper, when the paper was initially sat in the most recent Semester Two. 20 March if the CFCW is to be sat as a Semester One paper, when the paper was initially sat in the most recent Summer School You may be eligible for Carry Forward of Course Work (CFCW) if: There was a final exam. You have gained a minimum of 50% of the internal assessment and have been awarded a grade of R or a failing grade of D, E, or DNC. You have met all compulsory course work requirements. You have passed at least half the total number of papers for which you have enrolled at Massey University. This is your only fail in this paper. The content of the paper will not be changing significantly. Permission may be granted to re-sit the examination in the next semester in which the paper is offered. You must sit the examination at the campus of your enrolment for your CFCW paper. Applications are subject to approval by the relevant Pro Vice Chancellor. A fee of $24 per paper applies and is nonrefundable. Restricted (R) Passes Restricted (R) passes count as a credit towards most degrees although many degrees have a limit on the number of points of R passes. Final Results General Information Copies of Academic Records and Certificates of Attainment Academic Records This record lists all papers and grades for papers in which you have enrolled and states eligibility to graduate where applicable. A fee of $12 will apply, plus $1.50 for each additional copy and an additional $2 if posting overseas. Examinations June 2005 Certificates of Attainment This certificate states your eligibility to graduate when you have completed a qualification.
