How would you introduce yourself to a potential employer? Some DON’Ts of Interviewing ■ DON’T talk negative about anything ■ DON’T go in unprepared ■ DON’T show up late ■ DON’T ask about money ■ DON’T fidget, eat gum, or yawn ■ DON’T lie ■ DON’T stress out! After presenting these projects… ■ We will present these projects the week of November 7th. ■ After we finish presenting these projects we will hold in-class “mock interviews” where you will work with a panel of your peers and be interviewed. ■ We will practice these on Wednesday PACING CHECK Timeline: ■ Monday [today]: Continue to develop your projects ■ Tuesday: Work on presentations ■ Wednesday: Interview classmates about their career/finish presentations ■ Thursday: Finish presentations – If your portfolio and presentation are not finished by the end of class on Thursday you will need to complete them as homework over the long weekend. – These are due at 7:15 am on Monday, October 31st. If the PowerPoint presentation and portfolio are not in your folder by then, you will receive a zero for those assignments.
