LP BandCD Science 13 Photosynthesis

PHOTOSYNTHESIS
Instructions: This lesson is on Photosynthesis. Wonder what that is?
Collect information and develop content by browsing on the internet. Key
points have been given throughout the worksheet.
Photosynthesis is a process used by plants and other organisms to
convert light energy, normally from the sun, into chemical energy that
can be used to fuel the organisms' activities.
"Photo" is the Greek word for "Light," and "synthesis," is the Greek word
for "putting together," which explains what photosynthesis is.
You may have noticed that all animals and humans eat food,
But plants don't eat anything
Photosynthesis is how plants eat.
They use this process to make their own food.
Since they don't have to move around to find food, plants stay in one
place.
They can make their own food as long as they have three things:
1. C _ R _ _ N D _ O X _ _ E
2. W _ _ E _
3. S _ N _ _ G _ T
Look up on the internet how the above three things are used by plants to
make food.
Can you find out if there is any connection between carbon dioxide and
global warming? Browse on the internet and write a short note
