Short title
This plan may be cited as the Fisheries (East Coast Trawl)
(Scallops) Amendment Management Plan 2016.

Plan amended
This plan amends the Fisheries (East Coast Trawl)
Management Plan 2010.

Amendment of s 10 (Declaration and regulation of east
coast trawl fishery waters)
(1) Section 10(2)—
renumber as section 10(3).
(2) Section 10—
insert—
(2)
A person must not, in the east coast trawl fishery
waters, take or possess scallops (family
Pectinidae) during the regulated period.
(3) Section 10—
insert—
(4)
In this section—
regulated period means the period beginning at
midday on 1 May in a year and ending at midday
on 31 October in the same year.
