Job Description – reporting to the Lead of Conference Development
As the Director of Productions, you will be working in the Conference Development team and will be in
charge of curating the talent displayed on the TEDxUTSC stage. This requires hiring and training a host
and three performers for the program who are innovative, engaging, and consistent with the conference
theme.
Key Responsibilities:
 Recruit, hire, and train a host for the conference
 Recruit three unique performers who can accurately represent the conference theme in their
acts
 Communicate key messaging to host and performers and work consistently with them
throughout the year
 Manage host and performer scheduling including ensuring they are on cue throughout
conference day
Required Qualifications:
 Flair for creativity, originality and aesthetic sense
 Strong time management and organizational skills
 Detail-oriented personality and experience working with large-scale events an asset
 Superior interpersonal and communication skills
 Resourcefulness and networks within and outside of campus to identify potential candidates
 Comfortable working under pressure or time constraints
