Please consider nominating someone from your unit or another Scouter. So many
deserving Scouters never get the recognition they deserve because others think
someone else will submit the form or they think they already have the award.
The Cost for the mail is $5.00

THE GOLDEN SPARK PLUG AWARD
The Golden Spark Plug Award is presented annually by units in the Mannahoac District, Shenandoah Area Council, BSA to recognize outstanding leadership, service, or
spirit by an adult in support of a Cub Scout Pack, Boy Scout Troop, Varsity Team, Venturing Crew, or Explorer Post.
Awardees are selected by their unit’s adult leaders, and the awards are given on the
basis of one per unit per year. The awards may only be given at the District’s annual
recognition dinner.
The Golden Spark Plug Award is co-equal with the Silver Spark Plug Award, and ranks
below the District Award of Merit.
THE SILVER SPARK PLUG AWARD
The Silver Spark Plug Award is presented annually by the Mannahoac District, Shenandoah Area Council, BSA to recognize outstanding leadership, service, or spirit by an adult in
support of the district as it provides quality Scouting programs to Cub Scouts, Boy
Scouts, Venturers, and Explorers.
Awardees are selected by the district’s adult leaders, and the awards are given on the
basis of three awards per year. The awards may only be given at the District’s annual
recognition dinner.
The Golden Spark Plug Award is co-equal with the Silver Spark Plug Award,
and ranks below the District Award of Merit.
