Brush, Stump & Leaf Pick-up Schedule for Ogden
Dave Widger, Highway Superintendent for the Town of Ogden states, ”We now offer brush, stump & leaf pickup on a
year-round basis continuing with the quadrant pickup schedule already in existence. During the winter months pickup
may be delayed due to weather related conditions whereas the plowing and salting of roadways is a priority. Crews
will resume pickup in the quadrant that was interrupted due to plowing or salting before moving on to the next
quadrant.”
Clarification of the Town policy is detailed in the “do’s & don’ts” list below:

DO have ALL brush, stumps & bagged leaves out to the curbside by 7:00am the Monday of the week of your quadrant. Leaves
MUST be bagged in biodegradable bags only in order to be picked up. Leaves in plastic bags or left in a pile on the ground
will not be picked up. Plastic bags cannot be recycled and will not compost in our mulch pit. Leaves will be picked up
separately from the brush as they are composted differently.

DO NOT place brush pile, stumps or bagged leaves where they will be a sight distance problem for other motorists or your
neighbors.

DO stack brush with the cut ends towards the road.

DO NOT place brush, stumps or bagged leaves on anyone’s property except for your own.

DO NOT place brush, stumps or bagged leaves in the roadway or on the road shoulder.

DO NOT place brush, stumps or bagged leaves under utility wires where our grapple truck cannot reach.

Limbs should not be more than 6-8 feet in length.

DO NOT place ANY other debris with brush, stumps or bagged leaves.

DO NOT include brush or stumps from “lot clearing” for any construction activity. They will NOT be picked up.

The Town DOES NOT pickup grass clippings.

DO NOT pile stumps with brush or bagged leaves. Please pile them separately as they will be picked up separately.

All stumps must be 90% free of all dirt and stones.

Contractors are not permitted to bring in any stumps from another location. They will NOT be picked up.
