3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

Aims:
To promote 3 on 3 Basketball and facilitate friendship among
students.
2 Date:
12 & 13 Apr, 2017
3 Time:
6:00-10:00pm.
4 Venue:
Yeung Ming Biu Indoor Sports Center
5 Eligibility:
All full-time CU students.
- Maximum 5 players per team
- Limitation for University and College Team Players: 2 points
for 2016-17 University Basketball Team players; 1 point for
2016-17 College Basketball Team players. Total points of
players in each team on the court cannot excess 4 points.
6 Events:
Men’s and Ladies’ Groups
7 Playing Time: 10 minutes per game
The tournament will be played under the 3 on 3 Basketball Rules of
8 Rules:
HK Basketball Association 2014 (video reference:

followings:
All team, with student IDs, have to report to the recorders at
the competition court 5 minutes before official commencement
time. Team fails to do so will be regarded as withdrawal from the
tournament. In the case of draw game, Free-throw (sudden death)
will be executed.
9 System:
Maximum of 32 Teams to be participated. A draw lots will be
conducted when the no. of applications is more than 32. Single
Knock-Out System will be used.
10 Ball Size:
Men’s – No.7; Ladies’ – No. 6.
Trophies will be awarded to the Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd
11 Prizes:
Runner-up, 3rd Runner-up of each group (3rd Runner-up only will be
awarded when more than 12 teams enrolled).
Team representatives shall enroll at the University Sports Centre in
12 Enrollment:
person by filling in the Entry Form and paying HK$100 deposit
(which will be refunded on the match day if no walk-over).
13 Enrollment
From now on to 28 March, 4:00pm
Period:
14 Referee:
All referees will be arranged by the convener.
15 Appeal:
The judgment of the convener will be final.
16 Fixture:
The draw for the tournament will be held on 28 March, at 5:00pm at
the University Sports Center. Players are welcome to attend.
Fixture will be posted at the University Sports Centre notice board
and http://www.peu.cuhk.edu.hk/zh-tw/ on 31 March.
