2. Purpose of Position




To contribute to the delivery of audio content to Foundation members by preparing audio
material for uploading to a digital archive from a variety of sources
To create audio recordings using synthetic speech
Provide cover for Audio Producers as needed
Support the Telephone Information Service (TIS) as needed

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Knowledge
Essential










A relevant tertiary qualification
Experience with audio production software
Experienced in the use of MS word and excel
Knowledge of common audio file formats
Experience with HTML and XML markup
Familiar with using MS Windows
Understand the structure of a print book and how it can be related to an audio book
Analytical and problem solving skills
Confident and clear communicator
Competent in handling large amounts of computer data
Preferred




Experience in the use of audio equipment in a studio environment
Knowledge of synthetic speech
Knowledge of DAISY production tools and audio production processes generally
Knowledge of audio production using ePub3
