Levelcom LC-100 Oil Rig data sheet.pub

Why the LC-100 is the best choice for rig applications
The LevelCom LC-100 is one of the most accurate, reliable and long lasting tank level
indicators available, averaging over 18 years of service. The LC-100 is a microprocessor
based pulsed bubbler that replaces submersible pressure transducers , floats and older
style continuous flow machines.
Local bar graph and digital display provide redundancy to monitoring console or HMI.
NEW! Dual communication mode (ANALOG and MODBUS together) provides
redundant data stream to BCS or VMS. (Profibus and Ethernet modules available)
•
Monitors without electronics in tank
•
Programmable Specific Gravity, works for all liquids, (water, fuel, brine, drill mud)
•
Eliminates replacement costs due to failed transducers and cables
Ballast
•
Alarms — high-high to low-low
Pre Load
•
10 point tank configuration table for accurate volume & weight in irregular tanks
•
Automatic sensor zero
•
On board self diagnostics
•
Long service life, low maintenance

KEEP THE INTEGRITY OF RIG’S LEVEL MONITORING SYSTEMS INTACT
!
Bring tanks back into service on station within hours. All electronics are above the tank
eliminating the need for costly, time consuming tank cleaning, venting and certification.
Maintenance and service are quicker, safer and more economical.
Plug and Play. If replacement is ever necessary, new units will can be installed in
minutes, quickly bringing the tank back online.
Eliminates the need for manual soundings.

LC-100 FEATURES
LevelCom’s “Advanced Bubbler Technology”
•
Measures liquid levels without the need for a electronic sensor, cable or transducer in the tank
•
Built in Redundancy, Local display and dual communication mode, 4 -20mA with Modbus provides redundancy for VMS, BCS
•
Designed to monitor a single tank. If a fault occurs, it only impacts one single tank rather than a group of tanks
•
Low cost of ownership and system maintenance
•
Eliminates the most common failure points
•
Accurate and Dependable level readings
Installation requires only a connection to air supply, electrical power source and bubbler tube. Only the
stationary bubbler tube and the purge air come in contact with the liquid, making this system ideal for applications
involving seawater, brine, hazardous, corrosive liquids and slurries.
In normal mode the LC-100 automatically zeroes its sensor to atmosphere every 30 minutes. The bubbler tube is purged at
regular intervals to keep the line clear. Self-diagnostics check the system for both pneumatic and electronic faults. If a problem
is found, the LC-100 will display the appropriate error message or activate an alarm to alert the operator. All values and alarm
set points are displayed in either English or Metric units of measure, (depth, volume or weight) on the digital display.
For hazardous area installation, the LC-100 controls can be located up to 600 feet away from the tank or classed area.
Lengths of pneumatic tubing isolate the hazardous area from the safe area.
“All submersible transducers will fail,
the issue is never if but when the failure will occur.”
