Psalm 23 – L 1 The Good Shepherd Protects

The Good Shepherd
Protects – Worrying
The better we understand God,
the easier it is to trust him!
Isaiah 26:3
You will keep in perfect
peace him whose mind
is steadfast, because he
trusts in you.
Psalm 23:1
The Lord is my shepherd, I
shall not want.
God is not the shepherd
of everyone. He is only
the shepherd of those who
let him be their shepherd.
Psalm 23:1
The Lord is my shepherd, I
shall not want.
John 10:14
I am the good shepherd; I
know my sheep and my
sheep know me.
John 10:27
My sheep listen to my voice; I
know them, and they follow me.
1. Make Jesus My Shepherd
“My sheep listen to my voice; I
know them, and they follow me.
I give them eternal life, and they
shall never perish; no one can
snatch them out of my hand.”
-John 10:27-28
2. Start Praying About Everything!
When I am worrying, I know my
prayer life needs improvement!
Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about
anything, but in everything,
by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, present
your requests to God.
Philippians 4:7
And the peace of God, which
transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and
minds in Christ Jesus.
Psalm 32:6
Therefore, let everyone who
is godly pray to you while you
may be found; surely when
the mighty waters rise,
they will not reach him.
Psalm 32:7
You are my hiding place;
you will protect me from
trouble and surround me
with songs of deliverance.
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He
makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads
me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness for his
name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,
for you are with me; your rod and your staff,
they comfort me. You prepare a table before
me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint
my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely
goodness and mercy will follow me all the days
of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the
Lord forever.
