Read, create and explore all summer with Summer Starts at EPL.
There are over 50 types of programs happening at all 20 EPL locations
in addition to some amazing special guest performances happening all
over Edmonton. In total there are over 500 programs to keep you busy!
BAD ART (ages 9-12)
Does art class stress you out? Come to the library and create
without the pressure to make "good" art.
GET WILD (ages 6-8)
From the Rocky Mountains to the Hudson Bay, Canada puts
the wild in wildlife. So come navigate through the country
and learn about all sorts of Canadian animals!
PAJAMA PARTY (all ages)
Put on your pjs and eat, dance, tell ghost stories, play
games, sing songs and do everything except go to sleep!
THAT’S GROSS (all ages)
Gross, nasty, and yuck are just a few words to describe the fun
activities you will do and stories you will hear at this program.
WHODUNIT? (ages 9-12)
Use your very best investigation skills and mind power to solve
the mystery and discover just whodunit!
THE GREAT EPL SCRATCH CHALLENGE
(ages 9-12, teen)
Design, build, play! Participate in the ultimate video game
creation challenge. Join our workshop to learn how to code
using Scratch, and then celebrate what you learned in a series
of activities where you show off your newfound video game
making skills.
CANADA 150: TELL YOUR STORY (ages 9-12, teen)
Everyone has a story to tell! Celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday
by creating a digital story with sound, audio, photos, and video
and sharing it with the whole world. This initiative is made
possible by the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th, a
collaboration between Community Foundations of Canada, the
Government of Canada, and extraordinary leaders from coast
to coast to coast.
