Setup Instructions Christmas Tree Light Kit Package includes: 1 15' LED light set (24 light strands) 1 Multi-dia. center base ring support (in 2 sections) 6 36" curved metal tubing 6 • 36" straight center lower ring supports 1 8" top star 1 Power transformer 1 Remote controller 12 W' hex screws 2 1" hex screws 1 Allen wrench Setup Instructions: Note: Please keep all packing materials for re-packing. 1. Unpack all items in the box. 2. Lower the pole to the lowest position and remove the flags. 3. Remove any ornament that is on top of the pole. 4. To determine the pole diameter, simply test the center base ring support around the pole, and pull out any unfit inserts if needed. Note: This multi-diameter center base ring support fits poles of either 2Y.,",2Yz", 2%" or 3" in dia. Place the center base ring support around the pole, use the 2 - 1" hex screws as illustrated in Fig. 1 Note: Do not tighten at this time, just tight enough to hold the ring around the pole. Fig. 1 5. Lay the curved 36" round sections of metal tubing around the outer base of the pole, connect the sections with the W' hex screws as illustrated in Fig. 2 Note: Do not tighten the screws at this time. This will form the lower outer ring. 6. Start to place the lower ring supports as illustrated in Fig. 3, connect the inner end (inner end is the one that is threaded to receive the hex screw) first using the W' hex screws as illustrated in Fig. 3a, then the outer end using the hex screws that are holding the ring together as illustrated in Fig. 3b Fig. 3 Fig. 2 Fig.3b Fig.3a Page 1 Uncommon USA, Inc. As shown in Fig. 4, place the top of the light kit onto the top of the flagpole, and then use the 8" top star to secure the light kit top by screwing the star to the top of the flagpole. Note: 1. The flat side ofthe light kit top is the bottom. 2. To avoid breaking the star you must screw the star in by turning the "STEM" only, not the star. 8. As shown in Fig. 4a, connect the power cord of the 8" top star to the power supply under the light kit top. Fig.4a NOTE: Fig. 4 TEST THE LIGHTS BEFORE PUTTING THEM ON THE POLE. Find the power cord of the light kit and connect it to the power transformer, then connect the transformer to a power outlet. After you test the lights, disconnect the transformer from the power outlet. 9. Unwrap the light strands from the plastic wrappers and set up the light kit as illustrated in Fig. 5 - 6. Step 2 Raise the 2nd section of the pole. Then remove the 2nd Velcro strip from each of the four groups of light strands. Step 1 Raise the first section of the pole. Then remove the first Velcro strip from each of the four groups of light strands. Step 3 Remove the clips from the bottom plastic strap ONE AT A TIME and secure them to the metal base outer ring. Secure the 24 light strands to the metal base outer ring as shown in Fig. 7. Fig. 7 11. Raise the pole to 20 feet as shown in Fig. 8, tighten the center ring support. Connect the power transformer to a power outlet. The power transformer should be off the ground to avoid being covered by snow, ice or water. As shown in Fig. 9, there are 8 modes to choose from, including steady lights or various flashing selections. #8 is a rotation of#l through #7. Point the remote controller to the sensor (as shown in Fig. 9a) atop the tree light kit and press the number to select your desired mode and enjoy the lights. Note: This tree light kit uses an infrared remote system. The remote unit must be pointed to the sensor without being blocked by a wall, glass or other obstacles. It has a limited distance of 30 ft. between the remote unit and the sensor. / Press to power on/off the lights Point this end to the sensor Remote Note: Do not operate this infrared remote under sunlight. Adjust the sensor remote controller ~:-a.1II!1 unit if needed. Remote controller Attention: 1. To prevent strands from getting tangled, each time you need to lower the pole to do any adjustments, you must strap the light strands 2 times with 6 strands in a group (four groups for a tree set) using the Velcro strips. Please refer to the details in "Take-down Instructions." 2. If you have a 25 ft. pole, you will not pull out the top section ofthe pole to set up this light set. 3. It is normal that the power transformer turns warm when it is working. 4. Raise the light kit high enough above the ground. Do not let water, snow, or ice cover the light kit base. Improper use of transformer may damage both the product and the transformer, and may cause the risk of fire. Note: Before re-packing the light kit, be sure you have kept all the packing materials as instructed in the setup instructions. 1. Disconnect the power cord. 2. Loosen the center ring support. Do not take apart. 3. Follow step 1 - 3 to take down the light kit. Note: The Velcro strips are to position light strands to prevent them from getting tangled. Step I Lower the pole 1 section. Then strap the light strands as illustrated in Fig. I (six in a group, four groups for a tree set) using the first Velcro strip. The first strip should be about 5 ft. above the bottom. Step 2 Lower the next section of the pole. Then strap the same groups of light strands using the 2nd Velcro strip about 5 ft. above the last one as illustrated in Fig. 2. Step 3 As illustrated in Fig. 3 and Fig. 3a, remove the clips from the outer base ring and secure them to the plastic strap ONE AT A TIME (six strands in a group and four groups for a tree set.) As shown in Fig. 4, use the provided packing plastic sheet to wrap each group of light strands in 3 folds to prevent the light strands from getting tangled. 5. As shown in Fig. 5, disconnect the power cord of the top star from the light kit top. Then remove both the top star and the light kit from the pole. Option 1: If your pole can be removed from the ground sleeve, lift the pole out of the sleeve and out of the center ring support. Then hang the entire tree kit base on the wall of your garage or other storage area, and re-pack the rest of the light kit in the original packaging box. Option 2: You may take apart the entire tree kit base. Then re-pack the light kit in the original packaging box as shown in Fig. 6. Fig. 6 7. Replace the pole in the sleeve and display your flags. Trouble-shooting Clear light cap Problem <, There are some lights of the tree kit that do not turn on. Cause The clear light cap is loose. Solution The clear light cap is designed to secure the LED bulb in place to connect with the wires. Tighten the clear light cap by turning it clockwise. There are eight lights in a group. If one of them has lost contact with the wire, the other seven lights will not turn on either. Once the loose cap is identified and tightened, all eight lights will turn on. Maintain and Care for the LED Light Strand Christmas Tree You should maintain and care for the tree light kit in the following areas before storage. 1. Clean and wipe all the metal parts. Use rust removal product (not included) such as WD-40 to clean any rusty • spots if there is any when powder coating is damaged. (Note: Follow the rust removal product instructions when using it.) 2. Repaint any spots where the paint on the metal part is damaged. (Note: Paint not included) 3. Clean and wipe the light strands and all other parts.
