2017 EAGLE LONG BALL CONTEST (Spring)
On Thursday – Feb. 2nd you will participate in the Eagle Baseball Team’s long ball
contest. This fundraising event is to benefit the baseball program so the participation of
every player is vital.
Materials needed: 40 legal size envelopes, 20 stamps, 40 mailing labels(Coach
Tickell will hand these out), 20 names and addresses of sponsors
i.e. relatives, friends, colleagues, etc.
1.
Each player must provide 20 LEGAL size envelopes, each one addressed to a
potential sponsor. Postage for these envelopes will be provided by the Eagle
Baseball Program so please do not put stamps on these envelops. If you have a
difficult time coming up with 20 names, think of relatives who may sponsor your
child, local businesses, dentists, doctors, mechanics, orthodontists, attorneys, etc.,
etc.

Each player must provide an additional 20 LEGAL size stamped envelopes.
These envelopes will be addressed to Coach Tickell and mailed along with the
sponsor letters as return envelopes for the sponsors to return their donations.

After each player completes an at bat, their longest hit ball will be written on
twenty long ball sheets. Players will have an opportunity to write a personal note
on each letter to be mailed to their sponsors.
4.
Please have all the stamped envelopes with Coach Tickell’s mailing label, letter
and long ball sheet inside the envelope with your sponsor’s addressed envelope
and Coach Tickell’s mailing label(top left). Go ahead and seal the sponsor
addressed envelope.
5.
Bring the finished envelopes to your coach. Your player will not bring anything
home for you to mail. The coaching staff will handle this process.
