Pre-Requisites
 Verify your version is 11.3 or higher
 Make sure secure passwords are enabled and set up for each user
 Ensure all practice information is entered in practice resource setup
o Address
o Fax Number
 All Provider information is entered in practice resource setup
o Email address
o DEA number
o DEA License Expiration
o DEA Schedule
o State ID number
o State License Expiration
o NPI for the provider
 Ensure Silverlight version is up-to-date (Silverlight 5)
 Match server time to Time.gov
Activating and Setting Up Users
 Activate ePrescribe
 Add all users
Performing the Background Check and Creating an Account
 Complete background check (ID proofing)
o If identity cannot be verified, fax manual registration to Allscripts
 Verify NPI
o If verification is failed, fax manual registration to Allscripts
 Setup Password/Create ePrescribe Account
EPCS and ID Proofing - Only for Providers who have purchased Controlled Substances







Select “Allow for NIST3”
Create Username, Password and Pin
Enter Residential Address & Mobile Phone Number
Answer Security Questions
Set up One Time Password (OTP) Device
Enter Last 4 SSN & Date of Birth
Complete Background Check
o If failed, fax notary forms to Verizon
 Set up EPCS Approver
 Approve EPCS prescriptions
o Due Diligence/2nd Factor Approval
 Set up EPCS for Multiple Providers (if applicable)
