LEVELTOOLS TEST 1 CAPABILITY | Cased |Hole Level 2 Capability (if applicable) DynaString® Gauge Carrier HAL24450 TUBING CONVEYED SYSTEM FOR MEMORY AND REAL-TIME GAUGES OVERVIEW The DynaString® gauge carrier is a full bore tool that carries memory and realtime gauges (DynaMem™ and DynaGauge®) and DynaLink® telemetry tools in external slots. Depending on the carrier’s outside diameter (OD), the design includes two or four slots. The number of gauges that can be installed in a carrier is determined by carrier slot length and number of slots specified in the Equipment Specifications table below and the length of the gauges to be installed. While the 5-in. OD carrier is offset 0.4 in. from the inside diameter (ID), the larger OD models are concentric with the ID. In all the cases, the ID of the tool is concentric with the tubing string so that the ID is always maintained, enabling both unrestricted flow through the tool and wireline-tool/drop-bar passage. Depending on which of the various end adapters are run on the carrier, the effective OD of the tool can vary. The 5.5 in. OD high-temperature carrier features a metal-to-metal seal backed up by elastomer seals.
