Míle Buíochas to all who helped in the celebrations of ordination and first Mass last weekend. There are so many to
thank that we would fill the newsletter; I hope you will all accept these words and blessings to you for your part in making last weekend so joyous and memorable.
We continue to pray for one another, for Fr Michael and all
the priests of our parish and we pray too that others may be
generous in their response to the call of vocation.
We would like to appoint a permanent sacristan for the Church of the Annunciation Carrig. At present there are two people who have given generously of their time to maintain
the sacristan's duties. If you are interested in the position please contact Fr David in confidence before the end of June. This is a non-salaried position but expenses will be covered.
We continue to pray for Fr Tony and all who are sick at this time. If anyone
wishes to write to Fr Tony you are welcome to leave your note or card into
the Parish Office and we will forward it to him.
Our parish mission will run from 26 September to 4 October; planning is ongoing and we
still seek people to co-ordinate the accommodation of the mission team and to support
the publicity and advertising. Please contact the parish office or any of the parish team if
you can lend a hand; job descriptions are available online at www.stbrendansbirr.ie
We are grateful to all who have offered accommodation and there are only a few extra
beds needed at this time. The job of the accommodation co-ordinator will be to assign
rooms as necessary.
Please Pray for the Souls of
Michael McGarry,
Paddy Buckley,
Noel Quirke, brother of Imelda Cloonan,
Teresa Robb, sister of Bernadette Carroll,

Weekday funeral Masses are now at 11.00
a.m. On the day of a funeral Mass there will be no
10.00 a.m. Mass. Any 10.00 a.m. Mass intention
that has been announced will be transferred to the
11.00 am funeral Mass or may be switched to a different date. We ask for your understanding as the
new arrangements come into place.
Thanks to all who have returned Garda Vetting forms - we will update you as soon as
clearance is received.
Cemetery Masses take place on the 16th of July in Clonoghill and 23rd of July in Carrig.
All welcome to attend.
A Priests collection will be taken up at masses next weekend, 27th and 28th of June.
Your generosity to this collection will be very much appreciated. Distributers are asked to
collect their envelopes from behind the altar after Mass. Many thanks.
