Find out more at www.thinkequal.com THINK EQUAL Intern Scheme THINK EQUAL is looking for a bright and enthusiastic person to take on the role of Programme Intern. The role will get involved in all aspects of the organisation’s programme, working closely with a small team of staff. The intern can expect to experience all areas of our work and gain a good understanding of all elements of the organisation. The Programme Intern will focus in particular on the planning, delivery and monitoring of the pilots of THINK EQUAL’s equality studies curriculum. This internship is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain experience working in the non-profit sector and/or the education/international development sector. Main Duties and Responsibilities The role will involve, but is not limited to the following tasks: Communicating with the pilot teams around the world; Encouraging the sharing of learning and experiences between the pilot teams and between the pilot teams and Head Office; Assisting with the tracking, monitoring and evaluation of the pilots, in particular maintaining a database on their progress; Supporting the implementation and delivery of the pilots, responding to pilot team requests; Researching, identifying and approaching new potential pilot school, teachers and countries; Compiling lessons learnt and proposing improvements on the delivery of the pilot curriculum; Organising the travel and logistical support of those implementing and managing the pilots; General ad hoc office administration as part of a small self-servicing team; Undertaking any other reasonable support and or activity as required. Qualifications The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies: Interest in non-profit international development, education, programme delivery and THINK EQUAL’s work; Strong computer literacy (experience and knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel); An effective communicator, both written and verbal, with excellent spoken and written English specifically; Ability to work on a number of tasks simultaneously; Ability to work both independently using initiative and as part of a team taking direction; Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines; Excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to engage with high-profile individuals; Positive and can-do attitude.
