LEARN TO PLAY THE GREAT HIGHLAND BAGPIPE! The University of California, Riverside Pipe Band will offer a class for beginners to learn to play the Great Highland Bagpipe starting Tuesday October 9, 2012, 5:30 – 6:30 PM at the UCR Student Recreation Center. • Participants will learn to play on a "practice chanter," a small, reeded instrument similar to a recorder. Bring your own or purchase one at the first class. All other materials will be furnished. • The ability to read music is not a prerequisite.
