does not need to drink!
Koalas have many enemies, but their biggest threat is us! Man
has destroyed their forests and sometimes run them over on
the roads. Natural predators are snakes, dingoes and eagles.

How can you make a difference to
Australia’s wildlife?
At Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary:While you’re visiting the Sanctuary, help us to make sure you
and the animals stay safe and happy by:• listening to your Guides’ and Sanctuary staff
• behaving safely on the train
• showing respect for all animals and other people
• Giving a small donation towards our Conservation and
Research initiatives.
At Home and at School:You and your family and friends can do many things in your
own environment to make a positive difference.
Always:
• Put rubbish in the bin
• Turn the tap off when cleaning your teeth
• Conserve power by turning off lights and fans when not in
use
• Try to reduce waste. For example, say “No” to plastic
bags, reuse bottles and plastics as much as possible
• Show respect towards other living things- plant native
plants, live happily together with our native plants and
animals and report an injured animal to an adult or
