Factory Capability and Capacity Assessment (FCCA)
o
Support parties: WMQA;
o
Performed by third party auditor (ITS/BV/SGS);
o
At supplier’s expense;
o
Pass result (above and include score 60%) is required for order commitment;
o
The pass result stays valid for one (score 60-79%) or two (score 80%+) years;
o!
For failed factory, a follow-up audit to be applied within 180 days after initial audit.

Ethical Standards (ES)
o
It is supplier’s responsibility to develop their factories into socially and ethically responsible business up to
Walmart standards.
o
Support parties: ITS/ BV/ STR;
o
Supplier sets up a qualified and active factory ID at Retail Link;
o
Registrant factory must go through ES audit; at supplier’s expense;
o
Factory utilisation needs approval by GS Merchant team;
o
Four assessment ratings: Green, Yellow, Orange, & Red;
o
ES history within past 2 years from last audit date is counted;
o
For inactive factories; Yellow or Green is required through re-activation audit;
o
Second Orange: factory will be inactivated in 180 days from last audit date and cannot receive new orders;
o
Third Orange: factory will be inactivated immediately;
o
If a factory has valid ICTI (International Council of Toy Industry) audit result, it can override ES audit
(Contact GS for detail ICTI rules);
o
Printers for Packaging/Label/Shipping Carton which has Walmart name or logo on, suppliers will need to
declare the printers on RL and will be subjected to Walmart ES policy to go through related audit at
suppliers’ cost.

Supplier Chain Security Audit (SCS/GSV)
o
Support parties: WM GSS (Global Sourcing Security); Intertek (ITS) / BV / OMEGA
o
Apply to all shipments, made in medium/high risk countries;
o
Shipments made in low risk countries requires supplier self-assessment, then forward to WM GSS
for review.
o
China: medium risk; Taiwan: low risk;
o
Intertek (ITS) / BV / OMEGA is the appointed auditor;
o
If a factory’s GSV report expired, the factory ID will be inactivated, no new order can be placed
on the factory.

Booking FCCA/ES/SCS audit
o Audit booking, factory registration/inactivation/activation can be done at
Retail Link.
o Retail Link -> Site Map ->Supplier Management; Under Factory Overview,
you can raise requests for selected factory:
