Planning Statement.

Dallington CE School has submitted plans to attach a larger conservatory to the
existing lean to of our School reception class. Please see plans on Hastings
Windows letter dated 18/11/2016.
This new area would provide the school children with a larger learning area to have
structured learn play/role play and free play in. It would be useable 365 days a year
and provide a more sheltered environment for the children.
The National Curriculum suggests that there should be a greater emphasis on
outside learning. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) particularly is
encouraging schools to actively embrace the use of sheltered outdoor spaces with
varied activities all year round. This will provide the children especially in our
reception and nursery class with the opportunities to enjoy being outside in a
sheltered larger space all year round and have fun and learn through play.
