Meet Mrs. Ghrist
• Earned Bachelor of Science in Elementary
Education(K-6) with a concentration in Natural
Sciences in 2004
• Earned Master of Education in Literacy in
2006
• Earned K-12 Principal Certification in 2011
• Taught 2nd grade at Westmont Elementary in
Johnstown, Pa from 2005-2008

Please check your child’s
homework binder nightly!
Current spelling words
are kept in the blue
sleeve. Words are tested
on Fridays.
Current math fact lists are
kept in the yellow sleeve.
Timed tests are given on
Wednesdays.

Field Trip
• Field trip—will take place in May or June of 2015
• The trip will most likely take place at the Carnegie
Science Center in Pittsburgh
• Each second grade classroom will take 3
chaperones; only 3 chaperones will be permitted
to attend
• Chaperones will be randomly chosen from those
parents interested in attending
Reminders
• Morning tutoring—by invitation on Tuesdays and
Thursdays
• Remember to check the homework binder each
evening
• Conferences—will take place in November—signup tonight!  Take a post-it to remember the
time you selected.
• Wellness Walk—October 3, 2014—all monies
raised will benefit Mountain View students
