and leaves of absence). Coordinates the return to work for employees on medical leave, and administration of short (STD) and long

Administers the employee leave of absence and FMLA programs for Columbus Regional to ensure compliance with state and
federal regulations.
Performance Expectations
1.1
Follows up with employees when requests are incomplete or proper documentation has not been submitted.
1.2
Responds to employee questions concerning leave eligibility and procedures. Acts as a liaison between employees and CIGNA, the third-parrty
leave administrator. Ensures that CIIGNA is promptly responding to employee requests and providing a high level of customer service to
Columbus Regional Health employees.
1.3
Coordinates with Department Managers and Directors on issues related to the use of PTO and EIB time, return to work procedures and eligibility,
and review of restrictions and light duty accomodations. Ensures that a fitness for duty certificate has been provided.
1.4
Reviews the Employees with No Hours Report each pay period to identify full time and part time employees with benefits who have not worked
during the pay period. Follows up with the employee and/or supervisor to determine if a leave of absence is warranted.
1.5
Prepares a weekly report for the Payroll Department for review against Kronos records and leave system. Researches any discrepancies to ensure
that the employee's time is accurately reported. Maintains leave records in the HRMS system.

Administers the Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, and Life Insurance Benefit Programs.

Distributes information on and explains benefits to employees; serves as liaison between employees and insurance carriers. Follows up on
pending coverage elections awaiting medical underwriting determination.
2.2
Verifies the calculation of the monthly premiums for group insurance policies and maintains statistical data relative to premiums, claims and
costs. Resolves administrative problems with the carrier representatives. Process premium invoices for payment, generates reports, and verify
deductions and premiums to submit along with remittance.
2.3
Coordinates with CIGNA to provide EIB end date, proof of enrollment, and time records from Kronos.
2.4
Maintains an employee file record of disability request and recipients. Provides monthly statistics for department reports.
2.5
Monitors the status of employees on leave and ensures that an application for Long-term Disability benefits is filed if the employee's disability is
expected to continue through the end of the elimination period.

Manages and coordinates the activities of Columbus Regional's Worker's Compensation Program

Manages the Columbus Regional workers' compensation program. Coordinates with Urgent Care and PMA to obtain necessary referrals and
approvals for medical treatment.

Acts as liaison with legal counsel for the resolution of worker's compensation claims. Coordinates claims with Columbus Regional's workers'
compensation carrier for proper processing
3.3
Communicates specific worker's compensation issues, trends and action plans with department and business agencies. Provides the Safety
Commmittee with monthly injury reports.
3.4
Coordinates with Department Managers and Directors on light duty accomodations.
3.5
Maintains OSHA 300 log and annual reporting to the Department of Labor and to the State Board of Workers Compensation.

Reviews incidents reported in the RL6 system on a daily basis. Files first report of injury with TPA. Gathers witness statements, if needed.
