CWP recently completed a gas funnel program for entry level
laborer positions

Candidates were prescreened prior to entry into the program

Twelve people started the program

Program consisted of two weeks of training in construction and OSHA 10

Three weeks of Operator Qualification (OQ) hands-on and written
testing and certification

Nine people completed the program

85% passed all the OQ

OQ #6 – Inspecting for atmospheric corrosion

OQ # 8 – Visually inspecting for internal corrosion

OQ # 11 – Applying pipe coating in the field

OQ # 12 - Cleaning and coating for atmospheric corrosion

OQ # 17 – Repair coating on steel pipes

OQ # 23 – Inspecting the condition of exposed metal pipe or pipe
coating

OQ # 24 – Inspect pipe for damage

OQ # 31 – Installation of pipe
OQ Certifications

OQ # 40 – Install/replace tracer wire

OQ # 70 – Abnormal operating conditions

OQ # 71 – Operator excavation and backfilling in the vicinity of a
pipeline
Next Steps

Hiring for pipeline expansion starts in April when conditions allow for
digging

Five week class planned for April to allow for additional hands-on
and written training, testing and certification
