DESCRIPTION
IV4AIC recessed downlight can be used for either commercial or residential new construction
applications. Designed for direct contact with insulation. Airtight certified ASTM E283.

HOUSING
Aluminum housing adjusts to 5/8” ceiling thickness. Trims are held in place with high tension
clips.
LED MR16 COMPATIBILITY
When 120V/12V electronic transformer option is selected, a 60W Hatch RS transformer
is used. Consult factory for 277V/12V electronic transformer when using a MR16 LED
lamp. Consult lamp manufacturer for limitations when dimming. Typically, MR16 LED
lamps should be considered as 50W load when used with a dimmer. See trims for
compatibility.
INSTALLATION
16 gauge galvanized steel frame. Rated for direct contact with insulation. Fixture fully
assembled including pre-wired transformer for easy installation. Frame includes bar
hangers with nails for wood joist. Adjustable 14” - 25” for precise placement. Bar hangers
include T-bar notch for T-grid ceiling installations.
JUNCTION BOX
Galvanized steel junction box with 1/2“ and 3/4“ Romex® knockouts, with removable access
plates for easy installation.
TRANSFORMER
50W maximum load. Input: 120V or 277V 60Hz. Output: 11.7V 40kHz. Available in magnetic
or electronic.

Airtight Certified ASTM E283.
ETL listed for thru-branch wiring and damp locations. (See trim for wet location listing)
ETL listed to US and Canadian standards.
