General Project Description throughout:
Lighting Retrofit - City Parks
City Project #5614
Work will primarily of consist installing 10 (ten) new concrete street light poles and retrofitting
11 (eleven) existing safety lighting poles, to increase all to dual mast arms with LED, dimmable
lights. All work to be done per the City of Hemet standards for street lighting (Standard G-808).
A C-10 Electrical Contractor License, or General Engineering "4" Contractor's license is required
for this project. No contractor or subcontroctor moy be aworded a contract for public work on a
public works project unless registered with the Deportment of lndustrial Relotions pursuont to
Labor Code section L725.5.

The work as set forth in this specification is for
LED Safety Lighting Retrofit - Gity Parks
City Project #5614
Work will primarily of consist installing 10 (ten) new concrete street light poles and retrofitting
existing safety lighting poles, to increase dual mast arms with LED, dimmable lights. Allwork to
be done per the City of Hemet standards for street lighting (Standard G-808). A C-10 Electrical
Contractor License, or General Engineering "A" Contractor's license is required for this project.
No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works
project unless registered with the Department of lndustrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code
section 1725.5.
The City reserves the right to:

The undersigned deposits the above named security as a proposal guarantee and
agrees that it shall be forfeited to the City in case this proposal is accepted by the City
and the undersigned fails to execute a contract with the City specified in the contract
documents accompanied by the requíred payment and Faithful Performance Bonds with
sureties satisfactory to the City and accompanied by the required Certificates of
lnsurance coverage and endorsements. Should the City be required to engage the
services of an attorney in connection with the enforcement of this bid, bidder promises
to pay City's reasonable attorney's fees and costs incurred with or without suit. The
bidder's liability to the City for failure to do any of the foregoing shall not be limited by
the amount of the above-named security.

Project Work Overview:
1. lnstall 10 new concrete street light poles (1C1-28). See attached reference map
a. 9streetlight poles with new footing bases, electrical and conduit to be
installed. (City Standard No. G808 attached)
b. 1 streetlight poles to be fitted on existing footing bases. Contractor to
remove and replace concrete cap and adjust bolts as necessary for fit.
2. lnstall an I' double mast arm to each of the concrete installed light poles.
3. Install 2 dimmable LED light fixtures (provided by City) per pole and reconnect
electrical.

Project Work Overview:
1. Remove 11 single mast arms and light fixtures from existing light poles and
install 11 new 8' double mast arm poles.
2. Install two dimmable LED light fixtures (City Supplied) per pole.
3. Replace 4 light fixtures with dimmable LED light fíxtures (City supplied) at two
existing double mast light poles
See attached maps for general lighting locations at each park.
Additional lnstructions:
All existing light fixtures and mast arm removals shall be performed by contractor in a
manner that prevents damage to the equipment. Contractor shall deliver all items
removed from the City park lighting facilities to the City Corporation Yard, located at
3777 Industrial Avenue, Hemet.
Point of Connection (POC) pull box not to exceed 10' from light pole.
All electrical work to be performed by Contractor per City Standards.
