®67 SOLARBAN Solar Control Low-E Glass True Reflected Color Solarban ® 67 glass by PPG represents an entirely new vision for transparent, solar control, low-e glasses featuring a soft, almost imperceptible, neutral coating that endows commercial buildings with a crisp, clean and brilliantly clear exterior appearance, together with the excellent solar control performance architects have learned to associate with the Solarban glass family. Thanks to a proprietary double-silver, MSVD coating developed by PPG, Solarban 67 glass transmits and reflects the timbre and brightness of ambient light and color more honestly than any product of its kind. The crispness and clarity of Solarban 67 glass is further enhanced by its low interior and exterior reflectivity, which are just 16 percent and 19 percent, respectively. Proven Solar Control Performance The revolutionary coating enables Solarban 67 glass to deliver exceptional levels of solar control performance not typically associated with such high degrees of transparency. In a standard 1-inch insulating glass unit (IGU) with conventional clear glass, Solarban 67 glass offers visible light transmittance (VLT) of 54 percent and a solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) of 0.29. The result is an impressive light-to-solar gain (LSG) ratio of 1.86. By combining extraordinary performance attributes with brilliant transparency and low levels of interior and exterior reflectance, Solarban 67 glass provides more than a stunning new aesthetic; it also helps architects meet the increasingly stringent mandates for energy and environmental performance required to meet contemporary building codes. Solarban 67 glass features a soft, imperceptible neutral coating that gives buildings an extraordinarily crisp, clean and brilliantly clear exterior appearance, along with excellent solar control performance. Choices are More Than Clear Solarban 67 glass can be specified with clear glass or with blue, green and earth-toned glasses such as Atlantica ®, Azuria ®, Optiblue ®, Optigray ®, Pacifica ®, Solarblue ® or Solargray ® glasses on the 2nd or 3rd surfaces of an IGU. These complementary products enable Solarban 67 glass to provide a full spectrum of color choice as well as SHGCs that range from 0.19 to 0.34 and VLTs of up to 42 percent. Solarban 67 glass in any 1-inch IGU configuration has a winter nighttime U-value of 0.29. Architects desiring even more color and reflectivity options can unite Solarban 67 glass in an IGU with clear or tinted glass and with Vistacool ® subtly reflective or Solarcool ® traditionally reflective glasses. ®67 SOLARBAN Solar Control Low-E Glass Fabrication and Availability Solarban 67 glass is available exclusively through the PPG Certified Fabricator ® Network. PPG Certified Fabricators can meet tight construction deadlines and accelerate the delivery of replacement glass before, during and after construction. Solarban 67 glass is manufactured using the sputter-coating process and is available for annealed, heat-strengthened and tempered applications.
