How to use Find a Doctor
for Michigan State University health plans
1. Go to the Michigan State University landing page at bcbsm.com/msu,
and select Find a Doctor or Hospital at the bottom of the page.
Tip: Click Register to create a new account or Log in to search for a doctor in your network.
If you create a member account, you can skip steps 2-5 and proceed to step 6.
2. Click on GET STARTED.
3. Click on All Plans.
4. Click on Employer Group Plans (24) from the drop-down menu.
5. Scroll down to Michigan State University Graduate Assistant and
Student Health Plans, and select either Student Health Services
Network (Within 45 miles of Olin Health Center) or Blue Care Network
– MSU (Outside 45 miles of Olin Health Center).
Student Health Services Network includes all providers at Olin Health Center and all
BCN-contracted providers and facilities within 45 miles of Olin.
Blue Care Network – MSU includes all BCN-contracted providers and facilities statewide
except those in the Student Health Services Network.
6. In the second column search box, enter the city. In the third column
search box, enter one of the following: doctor’s name, hospital name
or specialty.
Click on Search:
7. Once the search results are displayed, click on any of the links for each
provider listed for more details:
Before receiving services, we recommend that
you call the doctor's office or hospital to confirm
that they participate in your plan's network.
