UPCOMING BOOK STUDY “One Story One
Song” by Richard Wagamese. As you know, Bishop
Logan went on a 465 km walk in March of 2016.
The walk was to symbolically “re-enter the land” on
behalf of the Anglican Church on Vancouver Island.
“This is…maybe the second step on a long journey
toward justice,” McMenamie stressed in an
interview with the Anglican Journal. “The first step
is apology; the second step is realizing that we need
to re-enter the land in a new way.” In order to make positive changes
we need to understand what has happened to Native Peoples. “One
Story, One Song” is presented in four sections based on these
principles: Humility, Trust, Introspection and Wisdom. The four
principles are the cardinal points on the Medicine Wheel, and they
represent the essential qualities each person needs to cultivate a
principled life.
The book study will run for 4 Tuesdays (February 28 – March 21)
from 2:15 to 3:45 p.m. in the Lower Hall. All are welcome.
The cost of the book is $20 and will be available February 9.
If you have any questions please contact Trish Peebles 250-701-3172
or [email protected]. (Note there is a “g” between my first and
last names)
We are having a BOOK SALE on Saturday March 18. Please note:

KUDOS KORNER Kudos to all the Ministry Team Leaders of
the Parish of St. Peter, Quamichan who submitted their reports for
our Annual General Report. Much time and reflection on the year is
revealed within these reports. God continues to work through us all
as we journey to build the body of Christ.
Copies of the Annual General Report can be picked
up from church this Sunday. They are located on
the credenza as you enter the church. A pdf
version has been sent to parishioners with email.
Grab something to drink, find a comfy place to sit
and enjoy reading about what all went on at
St. Peter's in 2016.
