Welcome to the 2017 Missouri YHEC Competition:
Many of you are probably already practicing and if not, time for the rest of us to
get busy. I am looking forward to seeing you at our State competition in Jefferson
City, MO at the United Sportsman’s Club June 9, 10 and 11, 2017.
The responsibility exam will be over the NRA Hunter’s Guide. These books were
passed out at the state contest last year. If you do not have one you can go to
the NRA store on the web or contact me.
New this year the shotgun event will be shooting the new five stand at the club,
awesome course. It will open at 1:00 pm Friday to all competitors.
The archery event has been shortened to cut down on time and fatigue on
competitors.
Enclosed you will find a registration form, complete both copies then mail back to
me, also you will need to send $20.00 entry fee made payable to MO YHEC with
your complete registration to David Brooks, P.O. Box 189, Fair Grove, MO 65648.
MUST BE RECEIVED BY MAY 15, 2017.
Also like last year is the opportunity to order extra T-shirts for parents or family.
Cost is $12.00 per shirt and must be ordered and paid for in advance and sent in
with the participants entry form.
I have also included the schedule in your packet. The rules are posted on line at
