HEALTH AND SAFETY EXCELLENCE
Veolia and Peterson have an excellent
reputation when it comes to health and
safety. Not only do we comply with all
statutory requirements to prevent ill health,
injury, damage or loss; we also have an
impeccable record when it comes to Lost
Time Incidents. And because the equipment
and machinery involved in the Oil and Gas
industry can present a particular danger, we
take our supplier responsibilities even more
seriously. It’s the reason we’ve been verified as
a member of FPAL and certified as an official
supplier of Achilles JQS.
THINKING OF
DECOMMISSIONING?
LET US TAKE IT APART
FOR YOU.
After decades of success, many of the assets from the
North Sea oil and gas industry are coming to the end of their
economic life. That presents a new challenge for owners,
operators, engineers and contractors; how to decommission
infrastructure with the maximum safety and environmental
performance, but with the minimum risk and cost?

A UNIQUE FACILITY IN THE NORTH SEA
At Lutelandet in Norway, Veolia and Peterson are breaking
down the barriers to decommissioning with a brand new,
state-of-the-art facility. A multi-site operation with
unprecedented capabilities, Lutelandet provides easy
access from the North Sea, with a vast onshore facility that
is scalable to 300,000m2 and beyond. In addition to two
decommissioning quays capable of dismantling at least
four large platforms simultaneously.

DEEP WATERS TO MINIMISE CRITICAL RISK
What’s more, the deep-water quay is mainly built on solid natural
bedrock with a water depth of 35 metres, even in close proximity
to the transfer location. This minimises the critical risk involved
in transporting infrastructure. It also makes Lutelandet ideal for
receiving the larger, heavier platforms that are common in the
Norwegian sector and the UK Continental Shelf Central and
Northern North Sea.
