NB: Arranging Matches The onus is on the first named player to contact his opponent to arrange a date to play a tie. However the second
named player is free to do so also and it would be helpful if that were done where contact is slow in being made. Three reasonable dates
should be offered if agreement is proving difficult and any further problems should be referred to the Match Secretary well before the tie due
date. Please play the tie by the due date – no extensions of dates allowed. SQUARE MATCHES Rather than a replay after a square game,
and when the course allows, members have the option to play A: Three extra holes and then if still square B: Sudden death to establish a
winner of a tie. Strokes to be taken as per the card index. This option does not apply to the Gibson Medal competition.
