RSO Incentive Program
The RSO Incentive Program is an initiative put in place by Student Life
to encourage SVSU Registered Student Organizations to further their
involvement and participation in on-campus programming, service, and
leadership initiatives. The Incentive Program will also allow Student Life
to more accurately report on the engagement and involvement of our
organizations.
To be eligible for the RSO Incentive Program an RSO must:

Attend RSO Orientation.
Create and maintain on OrgSync portal.
Submit three (3) goals for your organization (OrgSync FORMS)
Submit a roster (OrgSync FORMS)
The RSO Incentive program will have 3 different levels that will be based on points that an RSO
collects over the course of the year. Once an RSO reaches a given level they will be awarded the
incentive. The levels and incentives are as follows:
Bronze Level: 500 points

When an RSO reaches 500 points, Student Life will have $50 deposited into their RSO
agency account. These funds are unrestricted.
Silver Level: 1,000 points
 When an RSO reaches 1000 points, Student Life will have $100 deposited into their RSO
agency account. These funds are unrestricted.
Gold Level: 2,000 points
 When an RSO reaches 2000 points they will be eligible for the following:
 RSO of Excellence (An identification on OrgSync and in the Student Life
Center that shows that the RSO is one of the very best on our campus)
 Priority room reservations for the following academic semester
 Automatic Cards Party reservation for the following academic year
 VIP mixer (post Awards Ceremony) for the current academic year
 Eligible for RSO of the Year for the current academic year (‘RSO of the
Year’ will be both a physical and a cash award = $1,000)
Point structure and opportunities to earn points will be shared under FILES in a folder titled RSO
INCENTIVE PROGRAM on OrgSync, on a monthly basis.
RSO Incentive Program FAQ
Q: How do I submit my RSO goals to Student Life?
A: There is a form to fill out under your FORMS tab on OrgSync.
Q: How do I submit my RSO membership roster to Student Life?
A: There is a form that asks you to upload an Excel file that has each member’s name, ID
number, and email address.
Q: How will we know how many points we have earned?
A: Your organization’s officers (or appointee) will receive a monthly email from Student Life
with your updated point total.
Q: How many members need to be present at an event to get credit for it?
A: In MOST cases, an RSO must have three (3) members in attendance at the SAME EVENT in
order to receive points for it. (Ex: Three members from your org. must attend the same
Cardinal Talks event in order for your org. to get points. You cannot have one member attend
three different Cardinal Talks.)
Q: Once we have reached a level how do we get our money?
A: On a monthly basis Student Life will transfer funds directly to the agency account of each
RSO that has reached an incentive level.
Q: How will Student Life know that our RSO has attended an event?
A: Point can be earned only for participation in the events that Student Life identifies. We will
have our swipe machines at all of those events and will also be asking that you sign in on a
paper form identifying the RSO that you are representing, or other instructions will be given
regarding how you earn your points.
Q: How will we know which events have been identified as those that you can earn points
for?
A: At the beginning of each month (or as needed) your RSO’s officers (or appointee) will
receive an email with a full list of events for that month.
