NOTIFICATION OF APPOINTMENT OF COUNTING, POLLING AND POSTAL VOTE

I, the above named, having been nominated as a candidate at the above election, hereby
appoint the persons named in the attached lists, to act as counting, polling and postal vote
opening agents at the election for the above ward.

NOTES
1. In addition to the candidate, the election agent, and one guest per candidate, the number of
counting agents that can be appointed per candidate is 2.
2. In addition to the candidate and election agent, polling agents may be appointed to attend in
each polling station in the ward. While there is no restriction on the total number of polling
agents who may be appointed, not more than one polling agent may be admitted to a polling
station on behalf of the same candidate at the same time.
3. In addition to the candidate and election agent, postal vote opening agents may be
appointed to attend postal vote opening sessions. It may be necessary to limit the number
of agents present on behalf of the same candidate, depending on the total numbers present
at any one time.
4. The names and addresses of each agent should be typed or written in block capitals.
5. Admission to polling stations, opening of postal votes and the count will be on
production of photographic identification.
6. Where the same person is appointed to more than one post, they must be listed separately
on each form.
7. Each appointed agent will be given by the Returning Officer, a copy of the Requirement of
Secrecy, Rule 27, Scottish Local Government Elections Rules 2011.
8. This form duly completed must be lodged with the Returning Officer at the Election Office,
Aberdeen City Council, Town House, Broad Street, Aberdeen AB10 1FY, on or before
Wednesday 26th April 2017.
