The SA224 Wireless keypad is a convenient accessory compatible with HA50 wireless alarm and HA52 series.
It is mounted on a door entry, without any wiring, easy to operate, and all you have to do it press the correct
PIN (private identification number) to control the alarm system thus saving the trouble of searching for the key
or remote control for the alarm system.
1. FEATURES

3. INSTALLATION
3.1 Select a suitable location such as FRONT GATE, DOOR, GARAGE DOOR wherever near the
ENTRY.
3.2 Open up the front cover by loosening the screws (fig.2).
3.3 Install a 9V alkaline battery snugly into the compartment.
3.4 First fix the rubber seal and rear cover to the wall by the screws provided and mount the front cover to
the rear cover in the sequence as shown in fig. 2.
4. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE OPERATING THIS DEVICE
The PIN code is set uniformly at our factory for 1 2 3 4 and the HOUSE CODE all positioned at "OFF".
4.1 Due to interdigit time, pressing of each digit code must be completed within 5 seconds, failing which it
will invalidate the key pressing.
4.2 If total code entering exceeds 16 digits, the unit will automatically be locked, so wait 15 seconds to
resume your code entering or function setting.
4.3 When the unit is locked due to a wrong code entering process, RED LED will flash continuously for 15
seconds, wait unit RED LED stops flashing to resume your programming.
4.4 Erroneous code pressing of 16 digits consecutively for 3 times will trigger the unit to sound "panic
alarm".
4.5 When a wrong PIN code is pressed, wait 5 seconds to resume your correct code pressing. This is so
designed as to prevent an intruder from repeatedly trying to find out your correct PIN by continued key
pressings.
5. SETTING UP THE UNIT
5-1 Setting or re-entering your PIN (Private Identification Number).
NOTE : This a 4 digit number (any 4 numbers from 1-9) for operating the keypad unit.
(ARM, DISARM etc..). This is your password. (fig.3).

key and enter original factory code number 1 2 3 4 re-press
your renewed PIN, then lastly press again
key and enter
key. At this point RED LED will flash 5 times
to indicate that the new PIN has been entered completely.
5-2 House code setting (fig. 4)
NOTE: This securities code for communicating between other appliances of the premises. The control unit and
each transmitter in HA50 series has a row of 8 blue dipswitches which can each be in the "ON" or "OFF"
position. Once you have decided on your house code and adjusted the control until to this, you must set all the
other transmitters including the wireless keypad to the same code. This ensures that your keypad only talks to
your control unit. This will cause no disturbance to other appliances and are perfectly safe.
Press
key and first enter your new PIN (this is to prove you are the authoriszed person to change
any important function of this device), then repress
key for entering house code for "ON" status
(make sure this HOUSE CODE set up is EXACTLY in the same position as the alarm controller you have) then
key, at this point RED LED will flash 5 times to indicate that your house code has been
repress
entered completely.
* For instance, you want to set HOUSE CODE " 1 3 5 7" for "ON" position, first press
key and enter your PIN, repress
key and enter 1 3 5 7 numbers then press again
key to complete the HOUSE CODE entering process (fig. 4).
NOTE: There are totally 256 sets of combination HOUSE CODE available. However "9" is not used in this
HOUSE CODE numbering system.
6. OPERATION
6.1
For whole zone arming. To operate, frist press your PIN then press
key, and
RED LED will light up 1 second, which indicates the unit is placed in "WHOLE ZONE ARMED"
status. (fig. 5).
6.2
For disarming. To operate, first press your PIN, then press
key, and the RED
LED will light up 1 second to inicate the system has been disarmed (fig 6).
6.3
For panic alarm. Press these two keys at the same time for over 2 seconds, then alarm
alarm will sound instantly, the RED LED will light up for 1 second (fig 7).
6.4
For partial (zone) arming To operate, first press your PIN, press
key, then the RED
LED will light up for 1 second, indicating the system has now been placed in partial arming status, which means
you can set specific zone of your premises to "armed status", while leaving the other part(s) of your house in
"unarmed status". For example, when your activity is confined only to the parlor (living room), you then can
leave this zone "DISARMED" while other zones such as bedrooms, kitchen etc…. where no one is available to
notice intruders, you have to put them in "ARM" status.
Note: 6-4 partial arming function only applies to HA52 series (fig. 8).
