Map Switch For The Power Commander 5

The Power Commander 5 has the ability to store two maps and can be toggled between the two
maps with the use of a switch or jumper. This feature gives you the ability to switch between a nonethanol map and an ethanol map or a low altitude map and a high altitude map. Unlike using a single
map install this feature allows you to change maps without connecting to a computer to load a different map.
Note: If your map includes the use of the "accelerator pump" function it will stay activated when you
switch maps. If one map does not use this function where the second one does than it still requires
the use of a computer to turn the accelerator pump function on and off.
SLP stocks a map switch specifically for this function.
This compact switch has a harness that is 5 foot long.
Map Switch Installation.
Strip the wires about 10 m/m. To insert the wires into the wire map ports on the Power Commander. It
is easiest when you tin the wires with solder.
“OPEN” circuit is for map 1 and “CLOSED” circuit is for map 2.

To Configure Map Switch
The map switch allows you to switch between two different maps within the Power Commander V.
Select Power Commander Tools > Configure > Features Enables and Input Selections.
Select the Enabled box to enable or disable Map Switch.
Click OK to accept the changes.
Or
Click Cancel to close the window without changes.

Note: If you are using an Auto Tune see the Auto Tune instructions pertaining to the use of the switch.
To send a map to position 2, click Send Map, and select Position 2.
This will send the same map to position 2. You can modify this map and send the modified map to
position 2.

Modify the map on the screen, click Send Map, and select Position 2.
