Analysis of making Colcafé Coffee using Cookworks Signature Electric Kettle
Model WK8260
INTRODUCTION
Making Colcafé Coffee using Cookworks Signature Electric Kettle Model WK8260
should be an easy task for an office worker to do. Research has shown that after lunch period at
offices, workers tend to lack enough energy to complete their daily routines. This process
analysis was done to give the workers an easy way of gaining extra energy from drinking
Colcafé Coffee. The kettle transfers heat from a place of higher, to a place lower temperature,
through a metallic material found inside the kettle known as a ‘resistor’.
The secretary at an office will do this process two hours after his lunch break. A 220voltage outlet is used and the kettle is situated on a stable, flat, dry surface before proceeding to
plug it in. The equipments that are needed are:

The Electric Kettle

Water

A mug

Measuring cup

A spoon

Two teaspoonful of Colcafé Coffee powder

Two tablespoonful white sugar

15 ml of evaporated milk

There are three main stages for making Colcafé Coffee using Cookworks Signature
Electric Kettle Model WK8260. They are:

Acquiring the materials needed for the process

Boiling the water needed for the coffee

BODY
Stage 1: Acquiring the materials needed for the process
First, fill the electric kettle with water ranging from 0.75 litres to 7.1 litres. If the kettle
has in too little or too much water it will automatically turn itself off once turned on. Once this is
done, proceed to measure out the amount of white sugar, milk and Colcafé Coffee that are
needed. When measuring the white sugar and Colcafé Coffee necessary, a tablespoon is used and
a measuring cup for determining the amount of milk needed. This part of the process is shown in
Fig. 2 below.

Stage 2: Boiling the water needed to make the coffee
After filling the electric kettle with water, ensure that the base of the electric kettle is on a
flat, dry surface before putting the actual kettle on it. Next, plug the electric kettle into the 220-
4
voltage outlet socket and push up the ‘on & off’ switch to turn on the kettle. Once an orange light
comes on it means that the electricity is flowing from the outlet, through the cord and into the
base on which the electric kettle is situated. The resistor inside the kettle will begin to get hot and
in turn heat the water in the kettle to the point where it is boiled enough. The kettle will
automatically turn itself off and indicate such to the user with a ‘click’ sound. This stage of the
process usually takes about 5-6 minutes to be completed. It is depicted in Fig. 3.

Stage 3: Making the Colcafé Coffee
This final stage consists of three steps, (1) ensuring the mug is clean and adding the water, (2)
adding the ingredients and (3) putting the coffee to cool and later drinking it.
5
Step 1: Cleanse the mug and add the hot water.
To ensure that the mug is clean enough for use, a small amount of hot water is poured into the
mug to rinse it of any dust. Then the desired amount of water is poured into the mug before adding the
necessary ingredients.
Step 2: Add the ingredients.
After rinsing out the mug and pouring in the water, Colcafé Coffee powder is added to the hot
water and stirred immediately to prevent it from forming a sticky bulk. After, the sugar and milk
can be added respectively and stirred until the coffee has a brown colour.
Step 3: Let the coffee cool and then drink it.
Since a person can scorch their tongue from drinking hot liquids, the mug containing the
coffee is placed on the countertop for 1-2 minutes to cool (Fig. 4). After the time has passed, the
coffee is ready to be enjoyed.

CONCLUSION
Drinking coffee should not be a daily routine since one can become addicted to it,
however it is great for providing energy needed to go through one working day. A lot of products
are there to boost energy but coffee is preferred by most office workers. This process was not
costly and was done in 10 minutes, giving the secretary time to complete more tasks and
furthermore lessen his workload for another day.
