Day/Date: Friday August 28, 2009.
Where: The Standard Club, Duluth, Georgia.
Time: 1:00 PM shotgun start.
Teams: Each team will consist of 4 amateurs and 1 Georgia PGA professional.
Format: 2 net best balls of the foursome; the pro’s ball can help team score.
Professional Purse: Total $1,000 cash will be paid out to the individual low professional
and professionals on the winning teams.
Registration: 11:30 am-12:45 pm.
Lunch: Boxed lunches will be provided on carts prior to play.
Entry: $800/team or $225/player includes lunch and food at awards ceremony after play.

organization; contributions in excess of value received is tax deductible.
After Golf Food and Awards: Will be served in the clubhouse following play. Team
prizes to be awarded to top 3 teams and individual prizes for closest to the pin on selected
par 3’s.
To Benefit: All profits after expenses will benefit Triple Play Foundation, which
contributes to under-privileged youth sports programs in Atlanta and Athens, GA. Please

our support.

From the winter of 2003 through the fall of 2006, Kyle Burnat - a pitcher for Yale
University from Atlanta, Jimmy Prior - a basketball player from Chicago, Davy Ferguson a
wrestler who attended the University of Florida, and Andy Gathers - an avid sports fan from
Cleveland, lost their lives too soon, all passed away before the age of 23. They will all be
remembered for their love of life, hard work, high character, and the important role sports
played in their lives. It is the memory these former teammates, and forever friends that
inspired the Triple Play Foundation (TPF) in December 2006.
TPF is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to using sports to promote
education, health, and community service. was established in order to help strengthen
underprivileged communities by raising funds for youth sports. With hard work, respect,
integrity, and collective responsibility as our Core Values, TPF has raised over $25,000 to
help fund different nonpprofit and public sports programs across the state of Georgia. In
addition to our fundraising, TPF currently has provided our own programming to directly
serve over 200 impoverished youths in the greater Athens and Atlanta communities:
Public
• The “College Can” program - In partnership with UGA Department of
Administration & Policy and Fowler Drive Elementary, the program raises funds
for the school, hosts a field trip on the UGA campus, and teaches the students
that attending college is an achievable goal.
• Core Values Football Camp - The camp, led by NFL player Efrem Hill, will
concentrate on teaching the basic fundamentals of the game of football. Campers
will also receive instruction on topics outside of the game of football such as the
importance of work ethics, proper nutrition, teamwork and the importance of
giving back to your community.
• Core Value Golf Clinic - The camp, led by current GA PGA club pros, will
concentrate on teaching the basic fundamentals of the game of golf. Campers will
also receive instruction on topic outside of the game of golf such as the
importance of work ethics, teamwork and the importance of giving back to your
community.
TPF invites you to participate in our 2nd Annual TPF Classic Pro-Am Golf Tournament on
Friday, August 28th at The Standard Club. Teams will consist of 4 amateurs and 1 Ga PGA
professional playing 2 net best balls of the team; the pro’s ball can help team score! Please
