Electric Lines Apprentice Program Timeline Application Due Date: Friday, April 18th by 4:00PM Initial Applicants Notified**: Friday, April 25th by 4:00PM Stage 2 Meeting with Accepted Applicants: Monday, April 28th @ 6:00PM Drug Testing: To Be Announced, after Stage 2 meeting LPAT Testing: Week of May 5th Pole Climbing Testing: Week of May 12th Interview: Week of May 12th Final Group of Applicants Notified**: Friday, May 23rd by 4:00PM Marshall Training Center Tour: Tuesday, June 3rd @ 10:00AM Summer Classes Begin: June 6th Lineworker Orientation Classes: August 4th – 7th or 11th – 14th Application Process Minimum Criteria to Apply Applicants must weigh less than 300 lbs (Safety Equipment) Able to physically carry 50 lbs of tools. Willing to work at heights exceeding 60-feet. Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or a letter from your high school of expected graduation. Must be 18 years old to participate in the ELTE 270 Be eligible for a Michigan Commercial Drivers License (CDL) – Self disclose any felony or misdemeanor convictions which may impact employability Applicants must pass a pre-screen drug test during application process (Stage 2) Application Process Stage #1 All MUST be completed by April 18th @ 4:00 pm Complete Enrollment as an LCC Student Complete a student orientation Pass the Accuplacer basic skills test with minimum of 4’s in Reading, Writing, and Math, Include a copy of your driving record from the Secretary of State dated between March 18th and April 18th.
