Hae-Sin Thomas explains that the plan is a State Compliance document adhering to the Epic Charter Petition.

Hae-Sin Thomas explains that an application for Epic is no longer necessary as EFCPS schools are already members.

More devices need to be bought to implement blended learning at WAA, and Cox. Bandwidth had been increased. Erate does not allow for device purchase, only services.

Fundraising
Hae-Sin Thomas summarizes the Fundraising funds coming to EFC for the 2013-2014 school-year.
Board commitments;
The Fundly campaign has been launched; the campaign encourages staff/employees to fund raise for their own school.
This year HO will match based on thresholds. HO staff funds will go to the schools they work with.
21st century grant can mean access to much more money;
RTI grant with Seneca services to enhance behavioral intervention programs;
New schools Venture-Funding growth (perhaps Brookfield school)
$4,415,000 have been requested and $2,276,750 have been committed
Epic Update
Staff has been hired: Principal, Director of Personalized Learning, Office Manager, 1 of 4 Guides (Christian is the
Lead Guide), 0 of 4 teachers.
Startup funds have been raised: $825,000
Timeline for design and approval will be addressed next week potentially. Will check in with lenders to ensure we are
still in strong position to secure loan to purchase Epic or other facilities. Staff will move into the Epic building the first
week of February.
Currently at 45% enrollment.
