The family Bluefish tournament was held two weeks ago on Sunday, July 29th.
According to the Fishing Committee it was the best turn out ever, with 32 boats
and over 100 family members. It was a fun day for all! As you walk out to your
boats I'm sure you have noticed our new Miamogue sign over the ramp by the
gazebo. That is the result of many hours of work by one of our members, Wayne
Hobson, and a friend of his, Kurt Soltis. Kurt isn't a member yet, but truly is the
type of member we would welcome into the club. The only expense to the club is
the cost of the materials. Thank you guys, great job!
Just a reminder, the door on the deck behind the bar is not to be used either to
enter the club or to get ice. If you are getting ice see the bartenders, do not enter
through the rear door.
I have been told by many members how much they are enjoying the change in the
smoking policy in the club. Now that there is no smoking in the bar I hope to see
more members down at the club enjoying the smoke free environment having
lunch, dinner or drinks with friends.
I know many of us are either involved in summer activities or away on vacation
but if you can find the time it would be nice to see more members at the General
body meetings. July's meeting almost had to be canceled due to the lack of
members in attendance. Come to the meetings and be apart of YOUR club.
Hope to see you at the last Dock Party of the season on Saturday, August 18th.
Don't forget to stop by the palm tree!

Thursday and Friday for Lunch and is open for Dinner; Saturday and Sunday it is
