They played really well together and had lots of fun. The next one is Saturday 18th February, it would be great to have more kids from Orphir P1-4 join us, there is a large mixture of ability and it's a good chance to run around, make friends and have fun. From Bruce: Well done boys! A massive thank you to Sarah and Matthew Finn for their input to the football on a Wednesday night. It is great to see so many of that age get to experience football in a fun environment while learning the skills at the same time. Parent Council Meeting –AGM and Meeting The AGM and subsequent committee meeting was held on 1 February. Football and Netball With the last round of football beginning this week and one more session of the netball league to go, I do want to congratulate all of our footballers and netballers for their attitude, effort and achievements. Disco On behalf of the children, a large thank you to the Friends of Orphir parents for sorting out supper, Mr Dearness (and Daisy) our DJs and Primary 6-7 for their decorating of the Hall. A very, very enjoyable Scottish evening was had by all! Recycle with Michael - Clothing Fundraiser A big thank you to Duncan Flett who took in our collection from the Recycle with Michael bin – a whopping 219 kilos (482lb) of textiles went in – keep it coming! Thank you also to Jane Ballantyne and Elaine Young who keep an eye on the bank and the contents – occasionally drying out anything that has got wet in the container. Please do ensure that the items are in a well tied plastic bag. Saturday Football From OYDG: Following requests from a number of coaches/parents the OYDG have decided to hold the last of our Fun Fours nights on the 18th Feb to coincide with the school break. This is because it had been brought to my attention that some parents had planned to be off-island during this long weekend and didn't want any bairns to miss football.
