Communicate the activities, achievements and identity of
the group
Follow CERN brand and style
With respect to the unique identity of the PH-DT teams
Why this
project?

Scalable and simple infrastructure for the site
Easily maintainable
Act as the editor of the content for the initial fase
What we worked with:
Drupal 7
Drupal is a powerful tool for web development and
content editing.
CERN’s choice for the web presence of the Organisation
(infrastructure for hosting, backup and support)
Why Drupal?
Clear and Transparent cooperation with the CERN
infrastructure (indico meetings, CERN personnel
database)
No extra workload added or extensive training needed
since it offers a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get)

Changing content straight from the browser window
In order to have a stable and sustainable web site we:
Used only (when possible) centrally managed
components and tools
What we did
Provided rock solid infrastructure to add and edit content
Provided a first implementation of the content
Provided a comprehensive documentation of the site and
its usage (pointers given later in this presentation)
