indoor climbing holds worldwide. Today, this brochure is testament to the
philosophy of EP - climbing and route setting to us is an art form, and our
holds are the products of uninhibited creativity and forward-thinking. With
a large portion of our holds being sculpted by the supremely talented Laurent Laporte and Sander Culliton, you can rest assured that they are inspired
by a wealth of rock-climbing and route setting experience.

As well as our passion for aesthetics and diversity of holds, we are proud to
offer you a range which is equally outstanding in quality and safety. A mix
of durable PolyUrethane and Polyester textures, each set has a unique feel
and our products are resistant to the rough and tumble nature of route
setting. Additionally, a large number of our holds are fitted with the EP
patented EPS system, ensuring that if a hold does break, the majority
remains intact around the fitting - resulting in less risk of falling debris and potential injury.

Materials
There are 2 base materials for manufactured climbing holds.
PolyUrethane. Urethane is very durable; not
prone to cracking or chipping. Well suited for all
types of walls, especially highly featured walls. Because of this durability, our holds can be formed
into more unique shapes.

Polyester. Polyester is the traditional material for
holds; texture is dryer; more rigid than urethane;
suitable for flat featured and plywood walls.

Fixings
Cap Head Bolts, Button Head Bolts, Countersunk
Bolts or Screws. The marking DF recognizes a
Dual Fix attachment which uses either a Cap
Head or Countersink bolt.
EPS-Explosion Proof System.
In the event of a hold breaking
during use, the patented EPS captures the bulk of the hold which
reduces the risk to people below
of being struck by flying debris.
TÜV Certification.
Size

DIN EN 12572-3. Holds approved to meet the EN Standard
by the German Inspection Authority TÜV. These holds have been
subjected to systematic rupture,
resistance and safety tests.

Care Instructions
Safety
Never paint or apply any type of product to the
climbing hold surface. Such products could affect the hold’s friction and jeopardize the security of the hold user.
Climbing holds are designed and manufactured
to be used in a specific way. In particular, holds
require careful attention during both installation
and removal, and must be regularly checked and
maintained. The purchaser must take full responsibility at all times for the fixing and use of the
climbing hold, ensuring that it is only used for the
purposes for which it is designed. The manufacturer or supplier will not accept any responsibility for damage, injury or death through improper
use.
Periodical cleaning is recommended due to the
magnesium chalk that remains on the hold and
plugs its pores. As a result, the hold’s friction is
reduced and its surface appears shiny and slippery. The hold surface can be cleaned by brushing with a toothbrush in hot water. After washing, the hold will be thoroughly cleaned and will
once again have excellent grip properties.
Do not use any solvents or detergents while
cleaning the hold. This could weaken the
hold.
Installation
A climbing hold cannot be repaired.
If during a visual inspection, you
detect a slight crack or any other anomaly, the hold must
be immediately removed
and discarded.
Climbing holds take time to ‘bed’ into the wall.
We recommend that you tighten the hold using
a torque wrench adjusted to 35 Nm. In the first
days and weeks after initial fixing, the hold may
require tightening on a regular basis. These
holds may also naturally reposition or spin regardless of the tightening level applied. This
could even occur when the hold is being used for
the first time. After a period of non-use, verify
the tightening level of each hold before
reusing the climbing wall.
