Scholarship categories
A number of Scholarships for Year 7, 2017 are to be awarded by the School.
TRINITY
GRAMMAR SCHOOL
Academic Scholarships
Entitles the holder to the remission of tuition fees (whole or part). Although academic
excellence is of course pre-eminent in the awarding of Academic Scholarship, no
Scholarship is ever awarded on academic excellence alone.*
Trinitarian and Alumni Scholarships
Are awarded to boys whose abilities are of an all-round nature. The type of academic,
citizenship, sporting and co-curricular contribution that a boy will be able to give to the
School will be taken into consideration. The Scholarship entitles the holder to the remission
of tuition fees (whole or part).*
Music Scholarships
For entry into the Trinity Academy of Music. The Scholarship entitles the holder to the
remission of tuition fees (whole or part).* These are awarded to boys with outstanding
musical ability, either instrumental or choral. Auditions will be held in the week commencing
15th February 2016.*
*All applicants must sit for the Scholarship Exam.
Duration of Tenure
Each Scholarship is awarded in the first instance for secondary schooling at Trinity Grammar
School, subject to satisfactory conduct, academic performance and participation in the
School’s programme of music, sporting and co-curricular activities. If this performance is
deemed satisfactory, the Scholarship will be renewed each year until the completion of
secondary schooling at the end of Year 12.

Application Fee Payable:
Scholarship applications must be accompanied by a payment of $120.00 to cover testing
and reporting costs. Online payments only.

Scholarship Offers
Boys being considered for Scholarship offers will be asked to come in for an interview
following the School’s assessment of the results. This occurs approximately three weeks
after the testing date.
